    Silico-manganese alloy is an alloy composed of manganese, silicon, iron and a small amount of carbon and other elements. Silico-manganese alloy is a compound deoxidizer commonly used in steel-making, and also a reductive agent for the production of metallic manganese by low carbon ferromanganese and electrothermal silicon. Silicon-manganese alloy can be smelted by continuous operation in large, medium and small furnace. Si-mn alloy is mainly used as the intermediate of deoxidizer and alloy agent in iron and steel production. 

     

    Product advantages:
    Silico-manganese alloy is an alloy composed of manganese, silicon, iron and a small amount of carbon and other elements. Its consumption occupies the second place of ferroalloy products of electric furnace. FeMn alloys, silicon and manganese in the strong affinity with oxygen, silicon manganese alloy used in steelmaking, deoxidizing products produced MnSiO3 and MnSiO4 fuse is 1270 ℃ and 1327 ℃ respectively, has low melting point, large particles, the advantages of easy to rise, the deoxidization effect is good. In the same condition using manganese or silicon alone deoxidization, its burn loss rate is respectively 46% and 37%, and using silicon manganese alloy deoxidization, both burn loss rate is 29%. Therefore, it has been widely used in steelmaking, and its output growth rate is higher than the average growth rate of ferroalloy.
